These are instructor-led and skills sessions using manikins with a monitoring device, which allows students to see, hear, and feel the correct technique when performing quality CPR.
Personal Care Aide/Direct Care Aide - $600

Registered Medication Aide - $1200
- Includes application fee, lab supplies, student identification badge, criminal background check, and liability insurance, textbook, handouts, school supplies, stethoscope and blood pressure cuff and 2 set of uniforms.
- The student is required to submit a valid driver’s license or identification, most recent tuberculosis test/PPD result within a year or less, or chest x-ray 5 years or less, current
- CPR/First Aid during the admission process
- Current CPR/First Aid, training will be provided at the school if needed at a discounted price
- PSI examination is $70 and Virginia Board of Nursing Medication Aide registration fee is $50 is due towards the end of the program. All covered in the fees.
- Students will be assisted with the examination process.

Nurse Aide - $2,100
- 140 hours, eight weeks program
- Includes textbooks and workbooks, CPR training, lab supplies, 2 set of uniforms, textbook, workbook, application fees, criminal background check, liability insurance, student identification badge and VBON examination fees.
- The student is required to submit a valid driver’s license or identification, most recent tuberculosis test/PPD result less than a year or chest x-ray 5 years or less during the admission process.
- Students who have successfully completed the Nurse Aide program will be required to sit for the Credentia Examination. Fees are included in tution.
- Students will be provided time for course review and skills practice prior to taking the state examination.
- All students who pass both the written and skills exam will earn $25.00

Medication Aide Program
Medication Aide Program
A student seeking enrollment in a medication aide training program should have successfully completed the direct care staff training required by the Department of Social Services for employment in an assisted living facility or an approved nurse aide education program.
This a 68-hour program with 36 hours of classroom and 16 hours of supervised skills practice in medication administration to residents of an assisted living facility and an 16-hour module in facilitating client self-administration or assisting with the administration of insulin to include instruction and skills practice in the administration of insulin as specified in the board-approved curriculum.
Upon acceptance into the program, the student will be:

Classes are available Monday through Saturday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Hours can be flexible, make up classes are available.

Preparing for safe administration of medications to clients in assisted living facilities;
- Maintaining aseptic conditions;
- Understanding of basic pharmacology;
- Facilitating client self-administration or assisting with medication administration;
- Following the proper procedure for preparing, administering, and maintaining medications;
- And following appropriate procedures for documentation and reporting to the licensed healthcare professional on duty at the facility or to the client’s prescriber.
Training schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m including 30 minutes lunch break.





Personal Care Aide Program
This is a 40-hour training program required by the Department of Medical Services Assistance(DMAS) home care with 20 hours of classroom and 20 hours of skills practice. The curriculum includes:
- Limitations/responsibilities of PCA
- Clients Rights
- Infection control measures
- Fall/safety Precautions
Meal Preparation/house keeping duties- Activities of Daily Living
Students are required to take a final exam, and successful students with 80% or higher will be given a certificate.
Classes are available at 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with homework to be done each day to make up the five days of the course.

Nurse Aide Program
Nurse Aide Program
The Nurse Aide education program is a 144-hour program designed to prepare nurse aides for certification. 72 hours of classroom
32 hours of skills practice and 40 hours of clinicals in a skilled nursing facility.

The nurse aide student will be expected to provide services to a patient in a healthcare facility or at home or a resident of a long-term care facility.
1. In order to be qualified for the program, student should have completed a total of at least 24 hours of instruction and 16 of those hours shall be in; Communication and interpersonal skills, Infection control; Safety and emergency procedures, including dealing with obstructed airways and fall prevention; Promoting client independence; and Respecting clients' rights.

5. Care of the cognitively or sensory (visual and auditory) impaired client.
